About Top Banana Sports

Top Banana’s history began as a mountain biking shop circa 1995 on the outskirts of London’s Epping Forest. The shop closed down in 2000 and this was when a loyal customer and keen extreme sports enthusiast, Graham Ridley, bought the name and began the transformation of Top Banana bike shop into Top Banana lifestyle brand.

Graham was already a keen mountain biker, wave jet-skier and snow skier by this point with over twenty years experience within the realm of garment design and printing, having run two printing companies dedicated to printing t-shirts for the music industry. His vision for Top Banana was to weld together a top quality garment decoration business with an extreme sports brand with the designs to match.

Top Banana was officially registered as a Trade Mark in Colorado, USA in 2001, when Graham teamed up with Marty Taylor, an old friend and fellow extreme sports enthusiast. Together they developed designs aimed towards skiers, snowboarders, bikers and college students in Colorado.

From these beginnings the brand has become a new addition to the extreme sports clothing market, operating within 10,000 sq ft facility in Essex.
